a stark contrast to the first movie i saw Ellen Page in, where she played a psycho teen:
she was also kitty pryde in the X-Men: Last Stand movie…she was probably only in it for the money, compared to the two films above.

one of my all-time favorite movies. much better packaging this time around compared to the cheap cardboard pack case of the original dvd release (one of the reasons why i held off on buying it on original release)
it’s certainly not the ultra-fancy, uberexpensivilimited ultimate edition packed in a suitcase, but it will suffice.

actually had this last year but only started getting around to watching recently. this is the 80’s version that i grew up watching (not the original 60’s series). i never realized how awful the english dub was. i also was too young to remember how deep the themes of the episodes were or at least how they kiddified a lot of themes. there’s a few cool synth/electro sounds going on on some of the background music too.
there’s 8 dvds, 51 episodes and a booklet in the set. (i’ve only gotten to the second disc so far)
with the scarcity of wii’s, and me not really playing video games as much anymore, i figured i’d go bargain hunting for quality games i haven’t played on my gamecube. most of the VG shops at the malls (like eb and gamestop) have taken most of their gamecube stock off the shelves and relegated them to their clearance bins. i managed to get metroid prime for $5! oh the joys of finding really good games for (essentially) dead systems.
can’t tell from these photos, but they are yellowing in spots. installed them more than a year ago. they still look cool though from the distance.
wish i could find an old Swatch watch from the late 80’s that had typographic design on it.
on the short list of things i would probably not achieve this year: lose weight. not that i haven’t done it before, it’s just harder with my metabolism wittling away with age. oh, and lack of discipline.
