Originally wanted to take a late afternoon tour so that I could use the sunset as a lighting effect, but the only available tour schedule I could fit into was the evening tour the day I was there. I was unsure about how well the signs would look at night considering only a few of the old neon signs are actually operational, but the lighting setup at the tour was great. It was a bit of a challenge due to the tour time constraint—it was the group guided tour which meant you were not allowed to just walk around on your own or stay in one spot for too long to get the right shots, unless you booked a private non-guided tour in advance—and also waiting for the spotlight color to change to get a better shot.
