Spanish horror series. The first one is better known in the US as Quarantine (The dvd cover for REC says “the movie that inspired Quarantine”, but is it really inspired when it’s a direct English language remake?). Now, if you’ve seen Quarantine, then REC is virtually the same…except better in a lot of ways (pacing, visually more realistic, a more claustrophobic feel etc). REC2 is the direct sequel, happening immediately after the end of the first REC, it’s best if […]

The videos are in standard definition 4:3 aspect ratio and not widescreen (it even says it on the dvd that the videos are meant to be viewed on the “shape of a standard tv screen”). – received my limited edition Lee Perry figure more than a week ago : vinyl figure designed by Archer Prewitt for PressPop released thru Aggronautix // ordered the version that came with the documentary “The Life & Music of Lee Scratch Perry, The Upsetter” by Ethan Higbee and Adam Bhala Lough (including an additional score by Ethan Higbee aka nahte). Fascinating…and unexpectedly much darker and sad in parts. .
