Been a while since I’ve picked up or viewed a Dave McKean book and I’ve only posted three of them here on the blog (view other posts). This one’s a graphic novel (can easily see this as a short film….though more NC-17) without any dialogue or words. I’ve always liked his mixture of illustration, painting, photoshop/collage, and photography. Zombies vs Robots

– Found a copy at a nearby bookstore and picked one up. Much better than the prices it seems to be going for online, i mean wtf is up with that?!? . Complete Zombies vs Robots by Chris Ryall and Ashley Wood. Published by IDW Publishing. Third Printing, includes Zombies vs Robots #1-2, D’Airain #1-2 and Zombies vs Robots vs Amazons #1-3

swapping crows, counting goldfish

. Dave McKean re-used the same illustration for the cover of the Counting Crows album This Desert Life a year later. The image became more associated with the album, when the book was re-released it came with this cover instead…: …which is rather sad to look at in my opinion.
