firestorm 2007 (the next day)

my cousin’s family and one of their neighbor’s family ended up staying with us since they had to evacuate that monday. they were allowed back wednesday afternoon. thankfully they’re okay and so was their house (although some neighborhoods close to them weren’t as fortunate) mimian (evacuee) loved shooting me with a toy shotgun when she was at the house my friend (who i was helping move when the fire started) also had to evacuate that monday, is also okay.

– i was helping my friend move some furniture from Murrietta to Poway when the fire started. we didnt think too much about it even though the fire was just a bit north of where we were (the 1-15 freeway was already filled with smoke in Rancho Bernardo when we drove thru…it was a beat up old dodge pickup truck and the rear windows don’t close)

things you would lose in a fire

– you’d have to wonder what would you rather not lose in case of a fire, if you were given time to round up your belongings in advance. the surrounding areas 5 miles or so north and 5 miles east (and some parts i heard in the west too) have been ordered to evacuate due to the firestorm all over san diego and other parts of southern california. we havent evacuated yet but are on standby just in case. unfortunately […]
